Hazardous Area Design
Inglewood Engineering were commissioned to carry out a Hazardous Area Design of a new instrument control system for an existing process plant. Our cut and carve skills were used to the full and led to a successful upgrade to the plant.
Working to our standard methodology we drew up the initial control philosophy documentation and a user requirements specification. Once this was agreed we put together the plant control loop design, the instrument rack/panel detail, the PLC interfaces and all the construction documentation necessary to complete the project installation.
Further to our design involvement, our site engineers and compliance staff ensured the completed installation was fit for purpose. This entailed functional testing, hazardous area inspection verification and management of the associated non-conformances through to rectification and sign-off.
