Safety Instrumented Systems: Documentation Help

Inglewood Engineering were asked for assistance by a new client with their existing safety instrumented system compliance documentation.

There were a number of existing safety critical alarm and trip installation systems but there was no existing safety instrumented system calculations or other alarm and trip compliance data. We completed a site audit of the existing alarm and trip installation system and associated documentation. Following this audit, we were able to complete retrospective alarm and trip calculations and testing procedures for all relevant parts of the system.

The client was able to incorporate the new alarm and trip test procedures into his routine maintenance programme.  When the HSE inspector visited the plant everything was in order.
